What is the minimum age for joining?
Vitesse membership is available for people between 25 and 65. Any potential members outside of this age range may be considered on an individual basis. Additional insurance premiums or excess may apply.
What driving experience do I need?
You need to have held a full UK driving licence for 5 years. (non UK licences may be acceptable subject to some additional checks. Please contact us for details). Additionally depending on your driving experience of high performance cars we may require that you complete an advanced driving course before membership is granted.
Do I need a clean driving licence?
No. However there are some major endorsements which will result in the refusal of membership. Please contact Vitesse for further information.
Can my partner drive the Vitesse cars?
Yes, providing they meet the same criteria as members, and have been approved in writing by Vitesse. One member’s partner can be registered with Vitesse in a Membership Year.
How do I book a Vitesse car?
You can book online at the Vitesse website via our secure members section or by telephone.
At what times of day must I collect / return cars?
The collect and return times for Vitesse cars are as follows for each category of car:
The points charged for weekends correspond to borrowing a car on Friday and returning it on Monday. Weekends are always three days in length.
Yes. Subject to agreement by Vitesse, delivery to or collection from an address other than Vitesse’s premises can be arranged. Members may be required to pay for the cost of delivery or collection. Estimates of such costs are available on request. Mileage/time incurred during delivery and/or collection is debited to the member’s account.
No, members (and their partners registered in writing with Vitesse) are the only people allowed to drive the cars. No other people are insured to drive Vitesse cars.
No, Vitesse cars are for road use only.
Yes, providing written permission from Vitesse has been obtained in advance.
Retail Members and the Corporate Full membership mileage allowance is 5,000 miles per membership period.
Members are responsible for any offences committed during a booking. Speeding fines or any other similar endorsements will be forwarded to the relevant member if they are received by Vitesse.
Members are responsible for the safe return of the vehicles. All vehicles are comprehensively insured subject to the insurance excess £2,500.
If the cost of repair is less than the insurance excess, members will be charged the cost of repair plus a service charge.
If the cost of repair is more than the insurance excess members will be charged the excess.
The service charge is to cover the administration of the claim.
The life of the Vitesse membership is controlled by three factors; time, points usage, and mileage usage. Vitesse membership ceases when the earliest of the following three events occurs:
• A member uses up their points allocation.
• A member uses up their mileage allocation.
• 12 months passes from the date of commencement of Membership Period.
Members are welcome to rejoin as soon as any of these conditions are met.
Vitesse will add 25% of any remaining points to the next year’s membership. Any unused mileage allowance may not be carried forward.
Delivery, fuel, events, damage and loss are all extra on top of the membership fee. Any costs incurred by Members will be invoiced monthly, and charged by direct debit or to Member’s credit card.
